Today, I'll talk about the dark times I've faced for almost a year. I've had long nights, cold or hot, depending on the weather. I've never hit this low before. I had no medical care, so I walked into this "new building" in Portsmouth that everyone was talking about...and I walked out with hope.

RenewHer Campus gave me faith and a safe space. They fed me, kept me warm, and supported me on my journey. For the first time in a long time, I didn't feel judged. I could finally breathe; I felt safe enough to share my struggles without holding anything back. They reassured me that they would help me get back on my feet and feel human again. Organizations like this save lives. I am truly grateful to have met these angels on earth. renewHER just didn't hear me; they saw me. Because of them, I am hopeful again. Shay.
